Souhegan Civil Defense is an organization dedicated to emergency preparedness in Southern New Hampshire. We operate in the towns of Amherst, Mont Vernon, Milford and Lyndeborough. Our focus is:
- Building a culture of preparedness in our towns
- Preparing our towns for catastrophic disasters
- Supporting Souhegan CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
We advocate and teach self reliance, and resiliency. In an emergency, help may not be coming for a long period of time. We teach our neighbors the fundamentals of emergency preparedness and survival.
